#Mother'sDayShouldBeEveryday

It's that time of the year! We are finally coming out of the long dreary winter and starting to feel the promise of spring and (dare I say?) summer! This winter was hard. I don't know about you but I think Midwest winters are draining, and this year felt so long. I chalk it up to COVID (much like everything else). However, we are through it and what better way to celebrate drudging through some of our literal darkest days than to spend time appreciating our mothers? Moms get us through everything: the pretty, the ugly, the best moments, and the worst moments. They deserve everything great in the world. Mother's Day is coming up this weekend and I hope you all have something wonderful planned for the motherly figures in your life!

Moms are the heartbeat of society. They care for us, teach us, drive us crazy, ensure we are set up for success, and love us unconditionally. They stand by our side no matter what is happening or how much (or little) we appreciate them. They deserve so much more than just 24 hours out of the year. The least we can do is celebrate over the next few days with special shout-outs to the mommas of our "MomminLivinWorkin" authors! Let me start off with showing some love to my very own mom!

My mom calls me her little acorn (as in acorn doesn't fall far from the tree). As I've gotten older, I have become more and more like her. I know I have a long way to go before I can come anywhere near her level of compassion and kindness but I love that I am moving down the same track. She makes me want to be a better person, and she reminds me that family is the most important thing. I can't wait to continue growing in my relationship with her, and I can't wait to have children of my own to pass on all that she has taught me. I'm not sure that you could find a more loving individual than my mom. Shout out to my mom! I love you and I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!
