Hello friends!

 

Welcome to Livin’, Mommin’ and Workin’!  Let me introduce myself!  My name is Sarah and I am the Center Director here at The Learning Experience in South Lyon.  I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University (Go Eagles!) but I feel most of my knowledge that I have gained in education has been my experiences in early childhood education over the past 15 years, give or take a few!  Of course, my path to my perfect career was not perfect.  Right after graduation from college, I married my wonderful husband and started growing our family.  I was loving being a new mom, but still dreamt of my own perfect Kindergarten classroom.  I also found myself wanting a career that I felt fulfilled but could balance my role as a mom and teacher!  I started teaching Preschool at a local child development center where I could take my children with me every day and never looked back.

I am proud to call The Learning Experience my home for last almost 14 years.  I surely would not call myself a professional or expert in anything but what I do have is many years of working with children and their families as a teacher and a director.  It is truly my passion and when you are passionate about something you want to share it, right!  Also, my role as a wife and mom raising two teenagers may lead to some good conversations too!  My goal in this blog is to share what I can with you to help you be the best working mom you can be…even though I am not quite sure what that means, we can figure it out together.
