Meet Mollie

For anyone who knows me they know I love to talk but not always about myself, so here we go. I used to think I was busy but only to go back to those times now, I wouldn't change them for the world.  I am the V.P. of Operations/Owner of 4 successful childcare centers and truly found my passion for working with young children in college. Most in my profession say that they do it because they love working with children but it has to be more than that. This, at times, can be a challenging job, but the rewards far outweigh any challenges. To know that you made a difference in the life of a child, or gave a new mom comfort when dropping off her most prized possession, is a feeling like no other. I can honestly say, “I love my job”.

I have a bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Central Michigan University and over 20 years of experience. I have officially reached the point in where I can be a mother to most of our staff and our current interviewees were born after I graduated college. I remember when my leaders used to say that to me, it is much more fun to be on the younger side of this scenario. I have worked my way up in the ECE field and feel that this has helped me at being a successful leader, mentor, colleague and friend. When you know what someone is truly going through and can relate, the advice you provide them carries a little bit more clout.

Here’s where the busy comes in. I have 3 boys, I am a self-proclaimed boy mom, and have been married for 18 years. My boys are super active and I have become the mom who’s wardrobe largely consist of all things with their specific sport, name and number on it. I have been know to make 2-3 “costume” changes in a day to show my support. I am their biggest fan and they tell me I will miss this when it is done, but I’m not there yet. My children have however blessed us with the gift of travel. We aren’t always your typical site seeing tourist, unless you count the inside of random gymnasiums, arenas, stadiums, etc. Did I mention that my husband coaches both of my younger boys in 3 sports/year, which leaves me sitting and carpooling solo?

We wouldn’t have it any other way. This crazy journey that we are on works like a well oiled machine. I embrace busy and strive to success both personally and professional. I am looking forward to sharing with you all things boy, as well as a few things that relate to us moms (like the Nordstrom anniversary sale is my favorite time of the year). All of us contributors hope when you are scrolling through the blog while you are waiting at practice to pick-up, waiting to catch your flight or just taking 5 minutes for yourself, find comfort in the fact that you are not in this alone.
