Hello! 

My name is Kristin and I’m the assistant director at The Learning Experience of Gurnee! I have been in the early childhood education field since 2016. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Carthage College, but I never expected to use my degree in this field! In 2016, took a job as a teaching assistant and fell in love with working with little ones (especially infants). I decided to take additional ECE (Early Childhood Education) classes in order to become qualified as a teacher and eventually a director.

 

While I am still relatively new to the field, I have worked at many levels in the industry and have learned so much in such a short amount of time! I love having the opportunity to utilize my background in psychology to help understand behaviors of the kiddos in our building, and I truly believe that every child has the potential for greatness if we take the time to figure out what tools they need to achieve those goals!

 

In my free time, I love reading and watching movies and shows with my wonderful husband. I currently live in McHenry but I grew up in the Fox Lake/Volo area. I’m a Disney fanatic and love nerding out with anyone who will talk about musical theatre, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, board games, and so much more! I’m so honored to be a part of this team and I hope you can sense the excitement and passion we all have toward early childhood education!
