My name is Cyndi and I am an owner of four wonderful and fulfilling early learning centers), and a full-time practicing lawyer. I was born in Michigan and have lived in Southeastern Michigan for all of my life. My husband Richard and I were married in Negril, Jamaica in November of 2006, which brought me my much-loved bonus son, who is now 23 years old and launching a career of his own. I have loved animals generally and dogs especially, my entire life and thought I was a highly experienced in dog behavior and training.  Then we got Zeus and Lucy Lu, our current pair who have taught me more than a thing or two. I could never have imagined how all of the lessons I have learned working with Zeus and Lucy Lu on their issues would be so wildly helpful in my human interactions! Aside from my family and dogs, I love sports, especially water and snow skiing, flying trapeze and virtually all gym activities. I am a little bit of an adrenaline junkie to say the least. I love traveling, especially to places I have never been. I like sightseeing, but mostly I just love to see how it feels to live somewhere else for  a while. I am a fairly passionate gardener and also enjoy reading and buying. You read that correct, not shopping, buying😊. I am also a non-trustee volunteer on the philanthropy committee for Leader Dog which does amazing work with the blind and visually impaired to train and match the with guide dogs. This has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Seeing a person and a dog connect in a way that is truly life changing and to see how that really brings the person a whole new freedom is incredible.

My story with The Learning Experience started in 2005 when my soon to be husband and I flew out to new jersey to meet with the owners of The Learning Experience.  We had been looking for a socially positive business and this was it!  We were so impressed with the philosophy of a truly fun, curriculum focused child care that we moved forward and opened our first center in January of 2007. We were so lucky because the very first director we hired was Mollie, a woman who had all of the child care education and experience we lacked, but also so much more!  Her whole “why” in life was doing the best for children. She said if we could let her do it right, she would make our center amazing. We did and she did and she has grown to be an invaluable member of our team and of our family.  Every single day I realize for one reason or another that I am so incredibly lucky to have such a committed, passionate, smart and fun team.  Every single day I count my lucky starts that we met Mollie and were able to build this team and I am so excited to take on this next journey with all of them!
