Hi I’m Alicia, the Assistant Director at The Learning Experience in Clarkston, Michigan!

Early Childhood become my passion somewhere between needing a job, changing dirty diapers and realizing that I wasn’t actually “working” but loving my time at my career. I stuck around teaching in various classrooms, empowering the minds of little ones and getting our next world leaders ready to go out into the big world of Kindergarten. Almost ten years later, I eventually worked my self-up to management and now get to help empower the wonderful ladies we get to call our teachers and TLE leaders!

I’m a mama to a crazy blue-eyed creature, that keeps life busy and insanely fun. We are both enrolled into the new aged world of virtual schooling. I however am a few levels higher than him, obtaining my college degree in Early Childhood while he’s still stuck with chocolate milk and chicken nuggets in the first grade. We are both learning together and trying to stay sane, anyone else out there feel me?

 

I take great pride being involved in the community and helping others. From hosting color runs in order to raise funds to donate to local charities, participating in Stuff the Bus Events, driving the big ole’ TLE bus filled with goodies to shelters for abuse victims all the way to gracing the public with my humor. I also like to travel, preferably somewhere warm, where there is no cell service and no one calls me mom (that doesn’t happen often)
